Missouri’s Hannibal. On Saturday, August 2, from 9 a.m. to noon, the 2025 Wild & Wacky Art Adventure—a free art festival for children aged 3 to 10 and their families—will take place next to Hannibal’s Rotary Pavilion at Nipper Park, 103 Broadway St. The location has changed from previous years because of Central Park’s construction.
Under the Sea will be the theme for Hannibal Arts Council’s celebration of Wild & Wacky’s 25th anniversary. The Hannibal Arts Council, a longtime favorite in the town, will collaborate with other Hannibal businesses, organizations, and individuals to host a family-friendly community event that will last all morning. The event is free because of the local sponsors.
This year, HAC will have a tie-dye station and commemorative t-shirts available while supplies last. This year, the well-known Drum Circle and Box Town will return. Paper roll fish, fin foil fish, painted seashells, fold and cut stingrays, wax-resist sea creature scenes, and pet sea turtles are further crafts and collaborations that align with the general concept.
A bonus booth featuring a Mermaid activity will be available at the Hannibal Public Library. There will be information about Missouri turtles available from the Master Naturalists.
The Wild & Wacky Art Adventure was developed by the Hannibal Arts Council to give parents and kids a constructive activity where they may collaborate, explore their creativity, and deepen their bond as a family. The event is being generously sponsored by local businesses, individuals, and organizations in order to remain free. Over 300 kids enjoy the free event every year.
