Whitaker promoted to north regional president at First Bankers Trust

James Whitaker has been promoted to North Regional President of QUINCY First Bankers Trust, a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Bankers Trustshares, Inc.

In his new position, Whitaker will be in charge of growth, client relations, and strategic initiatives across First Bankers Trust’s northern market locations. Whitaker will concentrate on improving customer experience, promoting company development, and assisting in the ongoing expansion of the communities First Bankers Trust serves by drawing on his vast experience in commercial, agricultural, and real estate lending. In addition, he will oversee Buck Land Funding, the company’s agricultural financing branch, and its recreational land section.

Since joining First Bankers Trust over 14 years ago, Whitaker has held a number of important positions, including chief credit officer, senior vice president of business development, and vice president of commercial and agricultural lending. Whitaker served as senior vice president of commercial lending in St. Louis prior to joining First Bankers Trust.
