Vendors and sponsors wanted for inaugural NAMIWalks event Saturday, Oct. 11

Jacksonville, Illinois. On Saturday, October 11, NAMI West Central Illinois will have its inaugural NAMIWalks event in Jacksonville’s Community Park. Local companies, food vendors, community organizations, and sponsors are encouraged to participate.

The 5K fun race and 1-mile walk, which is anticipated to draw hundreds of community members, will raise money and awareness for easily available, free mental health services in a 10-county area. We are now seeking sponsors and vendors who are as passionate about community wellness as we are.

Possibilities for Participation:

  • Become a Sponsor-Gain visibility and goodwill while supporting mental health. Sponsorships start at just $100 and include marketing benefits like logo placement, social media shoutouts and recognition at the event.
  • Be a Vendor-Showcase your business, food truck, nonprofit or craft booth to a welcoming and engaged crowd. No vendor fee just bring your energy and enthusiasm for community.
  • Donate Goods or Services-Contribute in-kind items like raffle prizes, water, snacks, signage or volunteer time and be recognized as a vital community partner.

In the 10-county area (Adams, Brown, Cass, Greene, Hancock, McDonough, Morgan, Pike, Schuyler, and Scott), NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) West Central Illinois offers advocacy, education, and support to people with mental illness and their family. Since the opening of our affiliate in the spring of 2024, we have been able to start school clubs aimed at dispelling stigma and normalizing the topic, educate the public about mental health, and assist scores of families with our support groups.
