Quincy At the Quincy Boat Club on Wednesday night, United Way of Adams County kicked off its 2025 Thanks to You It’s Working campaign.

With an emphasis on ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) citizens in our community, United Way of Adams County partners, board members, sponsors, contributors, and volunteers presented plans for the upcoming year.

The 2025 campaign is led by Theresa Spear, Will Spear, and Brian Durante of Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Thanks to You It’s Working is a theme that honors the strength of community cooperation and the real change it brings about.

According to Jenna Hull, Executive Director of United Way of Adams County, “every success story, every family helped, every program supported, it all comes down to the people and businesses who step up.” Our community is stronger, more cohesive, and full of opportunities because of you. It’s working, thanks to you.

The Helpline, Unmet Needs, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Good News of Christmas, and 26 programs provided by 17 United Way of Adams County community partners are just a few of the in-house initiatives that continue to receive crucial assistance from the community’s generosity.

American Red Cross, Bella Ease, Scouting America Mississippi Valley Council, Cheerful Home, Community for Christ, Cornerstone, Girl Scouts of Central Illinois, Horizons Social Services, John Wood Community College, Quincy Catholic Charities, Quanada, Quincy Family YMCA, Salvation Army, Transitions, YoungLife, YWCA, and Advocacy Network for Children are some of these partners.
