Quincy On Friday, June 6, local companies and service organizations joined forces to accomplish 23 community service projects throughout Adams County as part of United Way of Adams County’s largest Day of Caring to date.

A record amount of community cooperation and support was demonstrated by the 18 local businesses and two service groups that fueled this incredible day of volunteering.

One of United Way’s main programs, the Day of Caring, unites individuals via meaningful service, meaningful connections, and a common commitment to giving back. Painting, gardening, arranging donations, and enhancing public areas were just a few of the varied and significant initiatives that were completed over the day.

It was a very remarkable day. “It’s what makes Adams County what it is to see so many people get out into the community and lend a helping hand,” stated Makayla Buckley, United Way of Adams County’s communications and program director, in a press release. The companies and organizations that helped make this year’s Day of Caring bigger and better than ever are greatly appreciated by United Way of Adams County.
