Two injured Saturday when car crashes into Suburban stopped at intersection of U.S. 61 and Warren Lane

HANNIBAL, Mo. — A two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Marion County injured a Palmyra man and a 16-year-old girl.

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at 2:44 a.m. on Saturday, June 7. A northbound 2015 Honda Accord, driven by a 34-year-old man from Troy, was on U.S. 61 when it went off the right side of the road and struck a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban, which was stopped at the intersection of U.S. 61 and Warren Lane.

The driver of the Suburban, a 36-year-old man from Palmyra, and a 16-year-old girl inside the vehicle both sustained minor injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt. They were transported by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. The driver of the Honda Accord was not reported to be injured and was not wearing a seatbelt.

Assisting at the scene were the Palmyra Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Department, Palmyra Fire Department and Marion County Ambulance.
