PALMYRA, MO. On Wednesday afternoon, a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 61, one mile south of Palmyra, left two individuals hurt.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision happened at 2:37 p.m. June 18, Wednesday. An eastbound 2011 Ford F250 truck collided with a southbound 2016 Hyundai Elantra.
The 48-year-old Monroe City resident who was driving the Hyundai Elantra was moderately injured despite wearing a seat belt. Marion County Ambulance took him to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
The 74-year-old Palmyra resident who was operating the Ford F250 was not buckled up. He was sent to Hannibal Regional Hospital by Marion County Ambulance after sustaining moderate injuries as well.
The Palmyra Fire Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Department, and Marion County Ambulance provided support to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on the scene.
