Quincy The District invites everyone to mark Saturday, August 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on their calendars for their next Shop Local Saturday event: Summer Sidewalk Sales at participating District businesses. Although every Saturday is an opportunity to explore The District’s heart and soul, special-themed Shop Local Saturdays, such as this one, provide an opportunity for something beyond a typical shopping excursion.
The end of summer and the start of back-to-school shopping present a fantastic opportunity for both consumers and companies.
Executive director Brianna Rivera stated in a news release that, in addition to retail establishments, The District is home to a wide range of cafes, restaurants, and coffee shops, all of which are welcome to take advantage of special offers. We expect customers to have a wonderful day of shopping at establishments in The Heart of Quincy, where they will discover fantastic bargains and exclusive specials.
“Stroll the sidewalks, shop locally, and soak up the summer vibes” is the tagline of this year’s festival; you never know what treasures you’ll find!
Special themes for the District Shop Local Saturdays promote participation from business owners as well as shoppers. These special Saturdays, which include Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and Sidewalk Sales, as well as Shop Small Saturday in November and holiday-themed shopping activities in December, are the ideal way to spend time with loved ones and support neighborhood businesses.
The tiny businesses in the 92 blocks that comprise The District, from Broadway to State and from Front to 12th Street, provide more than simply items; they also generate jobs, boost the local economy, and unite neighbors via unique finds and welcoming service. Spending locally keeps The District and the community alive and well, whether you’re buying fresh food, perusing distinctive boutiques, or getting a cup of coffee.
