Missouri’s Hannibal. Each week this summer, Hannibal Parks & Recreation will honor staff members at the Ronny Ferrel Hannibal Aquatic Center with a special award. The inaugural Summer Spotlight Employee of the Week is Ashley Davis, a freshman at Quincy University. As a front desk, concession, and slide attendant, Davis is in her first year.
According to Davis, watching the kids laugh and enjoy themselves at the pool is the most fulfilling aspect of the work. Sundae cones are her favorite concession booth delicacy, while Delta Dawn is her favorite music to hear on the lifeguard stand.
Ashley has been a fantastic addition to the team in her first year at the aquatic facility, according to a news statement from aquatics director Emily Hultgren. She manages to maintain her composure and professionalism even on our busiest days. She always greets people with a grin, bringing with her a good attitude. Even more amazing is the fact that, despite how busy things get, she never moans. We are fortunate to have Ashley because of her commitment and upbeat attitude, which really make a difference!
McDonald’s, Tom Boland Ford, Coffee Barn, Java Jive, and Families and Communities Together will also be giving away gifts to each Summer Spotlight Employee.
