Romano is Summer Spotlight Employee of the Week at Ronny Ferrel Hannibal Aquatic Center

Missouri’s Hannibal. The Ronny Ferrel Hannibal Aquatic Center has selected Elizabeth Romano, a senior at Hannibal High School, the Summer Spotlight Employee of the Week. She has been a lifeguard for three years.

This summer, Hannibal Parks and Recreation will honor staff members at the Ronny Ferrel Aquatic Center with a unique award every week.

Romano claimed that watching her students improve during swim lessons was the most fulfilling aspect of her work. Her favorite meal at the concession stand is Rick Krispie Treats, and her favorite song to listen to on the lifeguard stand is “12 to 12” by Sombr.

Elizabeth is one of the swimming center’s most dependable and committed lifeguards, according to a news statement from aquatics director Emily Hultgren. Her excitement is infectious; she regularly fills in for unfilled shifts and is always thrilled to be at work. She is an invaluable contribution to our team’s safety and success because of her keen awareness of her surroundings, even when she is not in her designated zone. Elizabeth is not only an excellent lifeguard but also our aquatic center’s in-house DJ! We frequently get compliments on her playlist, and her music choices foster a lively and friendly environment. I appreciate your enthusiasm, commitment, and amazing musical taste, Elizabeth.

Tom Boland Ford, Coffee Barn, Java Jive, McDonald’s, and Families and Communities Together all give rewards to the Summer Spotlight Employee.
