Quincy Today is Move-In Day and Orientation for new students on the Quincy University campus.
Students learn about the QU House System, service learning, maintaining good health, classroom success resources, and campus services throughout a series of orientation programs.
Students will learn about Franciscan values and take part in team-building exercises during orientation. Additionally, Playfair, a nationally acclaimed organization, offers new students an exciting, engaging experience during orientation.
Over the summer vacation, a number of facility improvements will be finished and ready for students to return. This includes updating residence halls, refurbishing classrooms, and renovating the Health and Fitness Center’s three-court area.
Classes begin on August 25 at 8 a.m., while returning QU students will start checking in on August 23. The week of September 8, after the add/drop period, official enrollment figures will be made public.

August 21, Thursday
- 8:30 am 1 pm Check-In and Move-In Francis Hall, dorms
- 3 pm Inaugural Ceremony St. Francis Solanus Church
- 4:15pm Class photo on Friars Field
- 7 pm Playfair on Friars Field
