Quincy A teenager has been taken into custody by Quincy Police in relation to a complaint of gunfire on Broadway on Saturday night.
A man with a pistol and gunshots were reported in the 1700 block of Broadway, according to several calls that were placed to the Quincy/Adams County 911 Center just after 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both a description of the suspect car and a description of the suspect were supplied. Patrol officers from the QPD arrived right away and saw the suspicious car driving away from the building.
The car was the subject of a high-risk traffic stop by officers close to 21stand, Maine. The car was searched and two subjects were taken into custody during the traffic stop. The shooting’s supporting evidence was found and gathered.
The event happened inside Barney’s Tavern, located at 1708 Broadway, according to sources who spoke to Muddy River News.
Officers found further evidence connected to the shooting at the site after speaking with a number of witnesses at the pub. Despite the collection of this evidence, the firearm remained missing. After searching the area extensively, officers found a small-caliber handgun on a hillside in the 1800 block of Maine. The recovered firearm aligned with further evidence gathered from the crime scene and the suspect vehicle.
Jorge A. Aguilar, 18, of Quincy, was taken into custody by officers on suspicion of aggravated assault, reckless discharge of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm. The Adams County Jail housed him.
No injuries resulting from the gunfire were reported.
