QUINCY At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24 in the Hall of Fame Room at Quincy University, 20th and Oak, the Quincy Police Department is inviting the community to a beat meeting and recruitment opportunity. Attendees should enter through the east-facing door.
Although everyone in the community is welcome, the discussion will concentrate on people and businesses east of 18th Street and north of Broadway. Officers who work this beat will be in attendance.
In the next months, more beat meetings will be planned.
Sgt. Nathan Elbus is welcome to swing by and speak with anyone interested in joining the Quincy police force. He will have applications available and be happy to answer any questions.
