Quincy Shannon Thoele, MD, a psychiatrist, has joined the Quincy Medical Group (QMG) staff. Having grown up in Quincy, Thoele is thrilled to return and give back to the town that holds such special meaning for her.
“It’s an honor to serve the community that shaped me,” Thoele stated in a press statement. I promise to treat each and every person who visits me with consideration and individual attention.
As a psychiatrist, Thoele treats patients’ minds, bodies, and spirits in order to improve their mental health. Her method is based on compassionate listening, establishing trust, and ensuring that each patient feels heard, respected, and protected.
“I want to enable you to actively participate in your care,” she continued. We may work together to create a plan that best fits your objectives, values, and needs.
In 2016, Dr. Thoele graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Quincy University. The University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford is where she later obtained her medical degree (MD) in 2021. After that, Thoele finished her residency in psychiatry at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
