QFD responds to trailer fire on city’s north end

Quincy On Thursday morning, the Quincy Fire Department was called to 1521 Park Avenue in response to a report of a burning trailer with its resident outside.

When the Incident Commander, Engine Companies #6, #4, and #2 arrived, the crew from Engine 6 reported that smoke and fire were emanating from the mobile home. To the front of the mobile house, they set up a hose line.

The hose was advanced into the building as more workers arrived on the scene, and the fire was extinguished in five minutes. Quincy Police blocked 24th Street from Locust to Park Avenue, and a supply line was installed from the hydrant on the intersection of 24th and Locust to Engine 6.

The overhaul and ventilation work went on until there was no more smoke in the region. Until 8:41 a.m., firefighters were still on the site.

Reason and Source Despite inspecting the region, investigators were unable to determine the source of the incident. and it is being classified as undecided at the moment. A pet cat perished in the fire, but no firemen were hurt, and the tenant did not seek medical attention.

Thirteen firemen responded, with assistance from the Quincy Police Department, Adams County Ambulance, Ameren Gas and Electric, and the QFD Rehab team.
