Quincy For the QCT production of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, two well-known actors are taking on new roles. First-time assistant stage manager Marissa Rabe and actor Emmett Frohn, who plays the iconic investigator Hercule Poirot, discuss their experiences, what excites them about this performance, and why QCT is such a meaningful location for them.
What motivated you to participate in the Murder on the Orient Express?
EmmettI love murder mysteries, and I’ve been wanting to perform another show for a while. I therefore knew I wanted to be a part of this project when the chance arose.
Our excellent stage manager for this play, Marissa Quintin [Metcalf], asked me to assist with stage management. I said yes since I enjoy working with him and the QCT team.
Discuss building the MOTOE universe from the perspective of you or your character.
EmmettAs my Hercule Poirot incarnation develops. I’m making an effort to take in the language’s sounds and emotions. listening to and viewing French music and movies from that time period. Because I dislike being swayed by how they depict the character, I truly dislike watching various iterations of the character. I have a lot of ideas for this position, and I will do everything in my power to fill it.
Marissa, managing the stage as an assistant has taught me a lot. a great deal of education on stage management, the tale, and accents. Our stage manager Quinton and our director Ron have opened a knowledge vault for me.
