According to a press release:

In announcing his reelection campaign, Governor JB Pritzker promised to keep pushing Illinois forward and accomplishing significant goals for working families. The news coincides with the premiere of a new film, “Keep Illinois Moving Forward,” in which the governor clearly states the difference between the chaos in Washington and our historic accomplishments here in Illinois, all from Chestnut, in the state’s center.

According to Governor JB Pritzker, Illinois is at the forefront of the battle these days to lower costs of living, defend our liberties, and uphold common sense. We discuss more than simply issues. Illinois is where we solve them. Because we are aware that the government should support working families and act as a force for good rather than retaliation.

In order to preserve our gains and keep resolving our issues, I’m running for reelection. I adore your state, and it is a privilege of mine to be your governor and guide you through the most trying moments while joining you in celebrating the best ones. I’m prepared for the battle to come. Join me in keeping Illinois going forward, whether you’re in the middle of the state or somewhere else.

The declaration follows the passage of Governor Pritzker’s seventh balanced budget, which marked the beginning of an era of fiscal stability in Illinois that has resulted in the removal of over $17 billion in outstanding debts and nine credit upgrades. Due to its success, Illinois has been able to make investments in key areas such as healthcare affordability, record spending for K–12 schools, early childhood education, and higher education financial aid, as well as tax relief for working families.

The governor has gained significant victories for the state’s economic development and made revolutionary investments in infrastructure thanks to the newly restored fiscal stability. Illinois is now a leader in the production of electric vehicles and quantum technology, generating billions of dollars in investments and tens of thousands of employment for our towns.

With civil rights and abortion rights codified in law and more robust safeguards for our LGBTQ and immigrant communities than ever before, Illinois continues to stand as a beacon of freedom and hope in the face of Donald Trump’s attacks, thanks to the governor’s leadership. Communities are safer and more prosperous thanks to unprecedented investments in violence prevention, a ban on assault weapons, bump stocks, and ghost guns, and the governor’s continued top focus of keeping Illinoisans safe.

The governor has never wavered from his pledge to return Springfield to the side of working families during his first campaign. The governor has demonstrated his commitment to standing up for Illinois’ working class by enacting legislation requiring paid leave, establishing a $15 minimum wage, and securing worker safeguards.
