NECAC seeking board nominations in three Missouri counties

Published On:

BOWLING GREEN For the available board seats in Lewis, Marion, and Shelby counties, NECAC is now taking nominees.

Both a low-income representative and a representative for civic interests are accepting nominations. The terms run from October 2025 to September 2029, a period of four years. Applications must be submitted by Friday, September 12.

Applicants must live in the county where they are applying. Members of or nominations from local commercial, labor, civic, fraternal, social, educational, or religious organizations are required for civic interest nominees. A low-income county citizen or an organization that assists the low-income, albeit they do not have to be low-income themselves, must suggest candidates for low-income representative.

Nominations must be submitted using the forms that each county’s NECAC Service Centers provide. Additionally, a personal résumé or a biographical questionnaire supplied by NECAC must be filled out.

The election for the board will take place on September 23. The term of office will begin on October 28.

The board convenes at the agency’s Bowling Green offices on the fourth Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September, October, and November at 6:30 p.m. Travel reimbursement and a free supper are offered.
