Alex Ourth has joined the Memorial Medical Clinic staff in Bowen, Illinois, and will be providing primary care to patients of all ages, according to Memorial Hospital.
Ourth, a native of Hancock County, grew up on a farm close to Fountain Green and has a thorough awareness of the healthcare requirements of rural areas. After graduating from Illini West High School in 2013, he went on to the University of Illinois at Chicago to obtain a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 2018. Later, in 2021, he graduated with a master’s degree in public health and health sciences from Western Illinois University. The University of Dubuque is where he most recently earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies.
Ourth worked as a patient care technician at Keokuk (Iowa) Area Hospital prior to becoming a physician assistant. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ourth worked with the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) Foundation to support public health initiatives. He worked as an intern with the CDC Undergraduate Public Health Scholars Program and Memorial Hospital.
Ourth stated in a press release that her objective as a family medicine practitioner is to assist patients in achieving the highest possible quality of life during all phases of life. Preventative care and treatment regimens that take into account each patient’s values and way of life are powerful, in my opinion.
Ourth’s clinical interests include pediatrics, chronic illness management, lifestyle and preventative medicine, and rural health. In addition to being certified as a health education expert, he is board-certified as a physician assistant.
