A $1,761.80 donation to Fishing For Freedom, an event that honors and supports local veterans via a meaningful day on the lake, was recently announced by Quincy Members First Community Credit Union. The event is sponsored by Members First.
There is more to this tournament than just fishing. According to a news statement from Members First CEO Teri McEwen, it’s about appreciation, healing, and community. We have a strong commitment to helping our veterans and the local groups that improve their lives.
A portion of this donation came from Members First’s Community Card program, which provides members with a free debit card service. A donation is provided to a local charity that participates with each transaction made with a Community Card. Members can select from personalized card designs that honor local schools or veterans.
