Letter to the Editor: Class trip to Washington, D.C., fun to do and great learning experience

Published On:

My classmates and I took a field trip to Washington, D.C., near the conclusion of my eighth-grade year. whether other colleges don’t do this, they ought do. I’m not sure whether they do. In addition to being enjoyable, it was also a fantastic educational opportunity.

The Holocaust Museum, which chronicled all that occurred to the Jewish people during World War II, was one of the many museums I visited while I was there. It’s critical to keep these things in mind to prevent them from happening to other people.

During the trip, I also attended a Washington Nationals baseball game. This was beneficial because, after a time, you grow weary of visiting museums all day. The break was enjoyable.

We visited the White House as well. We were able to view every room and painting, which made this interesting. Dick Durbin, our senator, was even introduced to us. Every time we traveled, a tour guide accompanied us. He taught us a lot about history and was quite informed about the subjects.

All things considered, this was a fantastic experience, and I hope that more seminars will be offered in the future.
