Missouri’s Hannibal. This year, Hannibal’s Got Talent made a comeback, showcasing the amazing local talent that elevates the area. Nearly fifty competitors competed in the event, which was held at Tanyard Gardens. Each competitor aimed to win the top prize in their division.
Amy Powell, a former Hannibal’s Got Talent winner, opened the concert with a moving rendition of the national anthem, setting the mood for an evening full of dance, music, and even martial arts. One by one, anxious but resolute performers walked the stage to display a range of acts, from strong vocal performances to exuberant dance routines and distinctive abilities.
The winners of the 12 and under division are:
- 1st Place: Brecklynn Smothernian, who impressed the judges with a dance routine to Crowded Room
- 2nd Place: Lisa Davis, singing Heart Attack
- 3rd Place: Albert Dant, who sang and danced to Billy Jean
The 13–17 category winner is:
- Shella Biggers, who gave a vocal performance aand guitar performance
Winners in the age group of 18 and up:
- 1st Place: Shaun Elzea who captivated the crowd with an energetic Kung Fu-inspired routine
- 2nd Place: Myth, a local girl ban who sang and danced a performance of Imaginary Friend
- 3rd Place: Catlin Jenkins who sang Don t Put Dirt On My Grave Just Yet
Jason Lewton of WGEM served as one of the judges for the evening. Other judges were Matt Findlay, who dazzled the audience with two live vocal performances; Amy Powell, who shared her experience as a previous winner; and Spencer Camp, whose slick saxophone skills enhanced the entertainment value of the presentation.
