Adams County, Illinois. The Quincy’s Calling Recruitment Bonus Program was launched by the Great River Economic Development Foundation. In keeping with its original goal, this program acts as a stimulant to draw in fresh talent, promote economic expansion, and develop the local labor force and community.
By introducing people and families who are interested in moving to Adams County to live and work, the Quincy’s Calling Recruitment Bonus Program enables present residents to actively contribute to the development of their town.
According to a press release from Kyle Moore, president of the Great River Economic Development Foundation, “We know the best promoters of Adams County are the residents who have chosen to call it home.” A parent offering a job opportunity to their recent college graduate, an old classmate showcasing the new university structures, or a call to an old acquaintance informing them about the newest company arriving in town are all examples of how we may promote our community. GREDF is now providing a recruitment bonus to people who help us introduce newcomers to the area in order to support this initiative.
Residents who successfully fill out Quincy’s Calling Lead Form and who or their family move to the area and find work in Adams County will be eligible for a $500 bonus as part of this creative program.
The GREDF team will get in touch with the newcomer to give them information about the community and resources to find housing and work opportunities, making sure their transition into the community is as seamless as possible, after an Adams County resident submits the name of a person or family they believe would be interested in moving to Adams County. The GREDF staff will confirm the move with the qualifying participant and the Adams County resident when the newcomer moves.
Highlights of the Program:
- Eligibility: Open to all current Adams County residents.
- Incentive Amount: Up to $500 for a successful referral.
- Criteria: Adams County residents must complete the Quincy Calling Lead Form.
Families or individuals have two years from the date of submission to move to Adams County and start working. The program is only available to 10 families and is first-come, first-served.
This program is a component of a larger economic development plan aimed at resolving labor shortages in the area, improving living standards, and maintaining long-term prosperity in Adams County.
