Quincy The annual Lemon-Aid Stand for Good, which will support The Salvation Army, has been announced by Quincy’s Grace and June Hendrian, daughters of Adam and Kellea Hendrian. On Saturday, August 30, the girls ask kids from all over the neighborhood to join them in changing the world by taking part in the Lemon-Aid Stand for Good event.
“We’re thrilled to invite other families, church groups, sports teams, and anyone eager to give back to the community to join us in Doing The Most Good by hosting their own Lemon-Aid Stand,” Kellea Hendrian stated in a news statement. There are numerous advantages to having a stand. It makes enduring memories for all those involved, teaches youngsters empathy and compassion, and lets parents witness their children flourishing and happy while engaging in worthwhile activities.
The majority of the stands will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 30. Although children throughout the Quincy Area Command service area (including Adams, Pike, and Brown counties in Illinois and Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Shelby, and Monroe counties in Missouri) are encouraged to set up their stands at homes or local businesses, Grace and June’s stand will be at Hardy’s Radiator (North 12th, across from the Illinois Veterans Home entrance). The beverages and snacks that each stand offers can be personalized.
Online registration is required for the Lemon-Aid Stand at https://bit.ly/4kld13P. Each registered stand will get a start-up kit from The Salvation Army, which will include a tablecloth, official Grace & June’s Lemon-Aid Stand signage, an iconic Red kettle, and payment details.
The Salvation Army’s Family Services, which provides comprehensive aid and resources to families in need by addressing hunger and homelessness, will receive all event revenues.
