Styles, Harry? Who could have known? Welcome to The Daily Dirt’s Vol. 1,323: Three Thoughts for Today.
1. Remember, I m always here to help.
Here are five health-related suggestions relating to common foods and beverages:
1. Lemon scents can lessen nausea and vomiting sensations. According to studies, the aroma of lemon can help reduce nausea, especially during pregnancy. This is probably caused by a number of things, such as the invigorating aroma inducing a relaxation response, producing pleasurable sensations that divert attention from discomfort, and maybe affecting breathing patterns. I don’t know about you, but I hate vomiting more than most things in life.
2. Because raw ginger has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial qualities, chewing a tiny piece of it can help soothe a sore throat. Compounds in ginger can help fight off bacteria or viruses that might be irritating your throat and reducing inflammation. Who could have known?
3. Almonds can enhance digestion and possibly enhance brain function by soaking them overnight. Almond skin enzyme inhibitors are deactivated by soaking, which facilitates digestion and enhances nutritional absorption. Increased bioavailability of nutrients associated with cognitive health, such as riboflavin and L-carnitine, may help improve brain function. The meaning of the second two words is unclear to me, however if you soak the almonds, everything will be ok.
4. Because of its high nutrient content, eating bananas may help elevate mood and lower stress levels. Are banana splits included in this as well?
5. Consuming raw garlic is believed to provide possible health advantages for blood pressure and immunity, particularly when done on an empty stomach. By relaxing blood vessels and enhancing blood flow, garlic’s sallicin content and other sulfur compounds may help lower blood pressure while simultaneously enhancing the immune system and reducing inflammation. Eating raw garlic on an empty stomach is my first thought, and I may need to go back to No. 1.
You’re always welcome.
2. Did you know (Part 405)

3. Now that NBA season is over and Oklahoma City rules, here are the early odds for next year s championship, according to BetMGM:
- 1. Oklahoma City
- 2. Cleveland
- 3. Houston
- 4. New York
- 5. Orlando
Note: If you bet on the Thunder to repeat, you might reconsider. Over the past seven years, the NBA has had seven different champions.
Steve’s Daily ThoughtYou read the note about Harry Styles at least twice, admit it.
