DAILY DIRT: Before you try the chocolate-covered bacon, try one of those Kool-Aid pickles

The garbage plate seems delicious, but I’m not sure about the peanut butter and jelly burger. Welcome to The Daily Dirt’s Vol. 1,323: Three Thoughts for Today.

1. It s that time of year when we start looking for some different foods to eat.

Our taste senses may be impacted when the temperature rises above 90 degrees. In light of this, The Daily Dirt’s Board of Control suggests the following products as potential summer menu substitutes:

Kool-Aid pickles: Soak your pickles in Kool-Aid powder, which gives them a tart, sweet taste as well as some odd, vibrant colors. The Kool-Aid’s flavor and color are absorbed by the pickles, creating a surprising and delectable summertime treat.

Chocolate-covered bacon is a savory and sweet combination that might surprise people. After dipping bacon strips in molten chocolate, they are allowed to cool until the chocolate solidifies. The combination of sweet chocolate and salty bacon is a pleasing one.

Burger with peanut butter and jelly:Imagine enjoying this while having a picnic in your lawn. Place a slice of cheese on top of a delicious beef patty first, followed by sweet jelly and creamy peanut butter. The acidic sweetness of the jelly and the richness of the peanut butter combine to create a unique flavor profile.

The garbage plate, a collection of different comfort meals stacked on top of one another, is linked to Upstate New York. Baked beans, potatoes, macaroni salad, and meat (hamburger, hot dog, and/or sausage) topped with mustard, onions, and a hot meat sauce. A real calorie-dense treat for warm weather.

Fried Coca-Cola: What do you say? This entails mixing Coca-Cola syrup into a batter and deep-frying it. The resultant nuggets are gooey with warm cola sweetness on the inside and crispy on the outside. In current hot weather, this is the ideal picnic option.
