Missouri’s Clark County. The Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri has established the Clark County Endowment Fund, a permanently endowed philanthropic fund, as part of a new initiative to provide long-term support for Clark County.

The goal of the Clark County Endowment Fund is to provide a steady stream of income to address present and future local needs. Endowment contributions are invested, and the profits will be utilized for years to come to fund humanitarian endeavors, community enhancements, and nonprofit organizations in Clark County.

Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative (Northeast Power) generously contributed $5,000, bringing the fund one-third of the way toward its original $15,000 target.

According to a press release from Allie Bennett, a board member of the Community Foundation and member of the Clark County Endowment Fund Council, all donations to the fund remain local and contribute to the development of a better, more resilient community. In addition to investing in the present, we are creating a legacy of support, opportunity, and resilience for future generations by creating the Clark County Endowment through our Community Foundation.

The Clark County Endowment Fund will support regional public and philanthropic initiatives, programs, and organizations after the fundraising target is reached. It will always expand and create fresh funds because it is an endowment. The fund council will recommend awards from the fund each year to improve Clark County towns.

Residents of Clark County who are committed to changing things make up a local advisory council. The organization is presently looking for more council members who would like to actively participate in determining their community’s destiny.

As permitted by law, contributions to the Community Foundation for the Clark County Endowment Fund are tax deductible. The Community Foundation Serving Northeast Missouri and West Central Illinois is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
