Chuck Scholz, a former mayor of Quincy, will provide a special presentation titled Bicentennial Reflections on Quincy’s History on Thursday, August 21.

As we commemorate our 200th anniversary, Scholz, chair of the Lincoln Bicentennial Commission, will offer his insights on significant historical topics, especially as they relate to Lincoln and the sixth Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and offer some lessons we could learn from them.

Openings to the Past At 5 p.m., Happy Hour will begin with a small reception and light fare. At 5:30 p.m., the presentation will start, followed by a discussion and question-and-answer period.

There is no admission fee, and everyone is welcome. However, on-site donations will be accepted for the Lincoln-Douglas Debate Museum.
