Quincy On Thursday, July 24, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Adams County Democratic Party will host a summer BBQ at the Machinists Lodge, located at 822, 2929 N. Fifth.
The guest speaker will be Blue Missouri’s executive director, Jess Piper. Piper, a former teacher and supporter of public education and rural towns, is known as the Dirt Road Democrat.
The lunch, which includes a vegetarian or pig loin chop, costs $20. Salad, baked beans, and dessert are served as sides, along with water or soda. This event is exclusively for dine-in. There will be a 50/50 drawing available.
The money raised will go toward Adams County’s Democratic election.
