Quincy Representatives Kyle Moore (R-Quincy), C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-Murrayville), and State Senator Jil Tracy (R-Quincy) would like to express their gratitude to the community for their tremendous generosity during their first Back-to-School Supplies Drive, which concluded on August 8.
Numerous backpacks, lunchboxes, notebooks, pencils, and other necessary educational supplies were gathered during the drive and were delivered to schools throughout their districts in advance of the start of classes.
In a news release, Senator Tracy expressed her gratitude to the families, companies, and organizations that came forward to help local youngsters. Many kids will be entering classrooms this year with confidence and prepared to learn as a result of this initiative.
Representative Moore remarked, “We’re humbled by the generosity of our community,” after praising the robust community response. Every donation is an investment in a child’s future, and I am very proud of the unity of our community.
We understand that many families are going through difficult times, but collectively, we have demonstrated what can occur when a community comes together, Representative Davidsmeyer continued. These resources will help students concentrate on their studies and reduce financial worry.
The legislators expressed their desire to maintain this momentum and make the drive a yearly event.
