Quincy 51 citations were issued during the Memorial Day Click It or Ticket enforcement period, according to a recent announcement from the Quincy Police Department.
According to a press statement from Sgt. Ryan Witt, “We contributed to making Illinois roads safer and spreading the word that seat belts save lives through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign.”
The Quincy Police Department issued 16 seat belt tickets during the enforcement period and also took the following extra steps:
- 0 child car seat citations
- 1 felony arrest
- 0 stolen vehicles recovered
- 0 fugitives apprehended
- 6 suspended/revoked license
- 7 uninsured motorist citations
- 34 speeding citations
- 28 speeding warnings
- 0 reckless driving citations
- 1 drug arrest
- 11 other warnings
