Quincy, IL – The Quincy Children’s Museum, in collaboration with John Wood Community College, is thrilled to unveil a brand-new story on the
Discovery Trail
—a one-mile interactive story walk nestled within JWCC’s Spring Valley Trails—on
Friday, June 6th from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m.
This special feature, titled
“Tails & Trails,”
is the result of a six-month creative partnership between local author
Tracy Schlepphorst
of
Emotion Belly Books
, third-grade students from Quincy Public Schools, and the museum. The trail offers a leisurely, family-friendly walk with story stops that encourage exploration and imagination.
A
ribbon-cutting ceremony
will be held at
5:30 p.m.
with the third graders who assisted with writing, illustrating, and researching for the new story, serving as distinguished guests; celebrating this exciting addition and the collaboration that their work has brought to life.

The
Discovery Trail
is located on the southeast corner of the JWCC Quincy campus at 48th and Harrison. The trailhead begins near the greenhouse behind the main buildings and is open to the public year-round.
